We’re letting the cat out of the bag… your rebellious little rascal CAN be trained. From toilet training to post scratching, the world’s the limit.
It’s obvious that the easiest time to start training your cutie pie is when you bring them home. Kitten training is a great opportunity to introduce your furball to how things are done in your house. Show them where they can scratch and which parts of the house they can jump up onto (let’s be honest, it’s everything but the kitchen bench, right?)
If you’re not sure how to litter train a kitten, that’s normal! Cat toilet training is all about consistency and habit building. To house train a cat, place their litter box in a quiet and convenient place, close to their favourite snoozing spot. If they do their business and miss their litter box, pick them and put them in the litter tray. Whenever they go in the litter tray reward them with a treat. It’s all about association: litter tray = business time.
Our litter tray makes cat toilet training a breeze. We know it’s a little weird to have your feline's business sitting around the house, so we set out to make our litter boxes as hygienic as possible. They’re also not known to be the most glamorous of items, so we looked for litter trays that are unassuming, great for laundry rooms or quiet corners of the house.
Training isn’t just for kittens. If you’re having trouble with your feline meowing, clawing and scratching in all the wrong places, it might be time to consider cat training. Petbay’s cat training supplies are here to make the process easier.
